How the Ownership Agreement Works
Ownership is based upon a shared or ‘fractional’ form of collective asset purchase between a set number of individuals. David Lloyd Resorts use this principle to provide individuals with the opportunity to share in, and enjoy, exclusive property ownership that may previously have been unobtainable as a sole investor.
Each property is divided into 13 fractions, and sold at 3 different price levels based on seasonality. Fractional owners, therefore, hold a share in a chosen property based on the amount of equity invested, but all share equal occupancy rights. Each fraction entitles the owner to 4 weeks usage per year, 2 weeks reserved from a choice of price bands and 2 ‘freedom’ weeks to explore the flexibility of our resorts exchange programme.
The business plan is to sell each property after 10 years at which stage the proceeds are returned to the 13 owners proportionate to their original equity invested.
