News from the London Golf Show
Sunday, May 11, 2008
Ryder Cup star Lee Westwood took time out from his hectic tour schedule to be the first visitor through the doors and officially open the London Golf Show 2008, the 4th annual show.
The London Golf Show hosted almost 200 exhibitors ranging from Golf Balls, Trendy Golfing Clothes, 100ft putt & floating green to Golfing Property on top class golf courses from companies like us. The show was visited by some 20,000 people.
Another star to visit the show was Comedy Legend Ronnie Corbett patron of SPARKS children’s charity, the official benefiting charity of the show www.sparks.org.uk. While Ronnie was at the show he took advantage of many of the features on offer and even visited Dolphin Golf Property’s stand. He spent time talking to us about golfing in the sun and his wife’s friend has a property in Murcia, one of the destinations we promote as the next ‘Golfing Destination’.
Apparently Saturday was the warmest day of the year so far but the golfers still came in their droves. Overall the show was a great success, busy and buzzing with golfers of all ages.
The BBC's Sports Reporter Chris Hollins was also at the show, and visited the Dolphin stand. Click here for his report on the show.
Finally, Lee Westwood admitted it was the first golf show he had attended and his first impression – “impressive”. He was amazed at the scale of the show and hailed it a “great success”.
The dates for the NEC Golf Show 2008 were released at the London Golf Show as 21- 23 November 2008. We look forward to seeing you there. www.golfshownec.com
